HYDERABAD: The CPI State council, BJP, media coordinators and the Centre for Inquiry have condemned GO 938. A delegation of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists met Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday and submitted a memorandum protesting against the GO, which, it said "exposed the Government's intolerance towards media criticism of its policies". K. Narayana, CPI secretary, expressed surprise over issuance of GO and said it was a `thoughtless' and `hurried action'. Bandaru Dattatreya, BJP State president, said the GO showed the Congress' resolve to `make people believe what it wanted. N. Innaiah, chairman, Centre for Inquiry, described the GO as indication of the Government's `intolerant, undemocratic, feudal' attitude.
