To Wagah, on a mission

BANGALORE: A motorcycle expedition, covering a distance of 5,084 km in 26 days from Bangalore to Wagah border and Delhi, by the 1/7 Company NCC of BHS First Grade College, Bangalore, will be flagged off on February 26 by G.R. Gopinath, Managing Director, Air Deccan, and Air Commodore S. Srivatsava, Deputy Director-General Karnataka and Goa NCC Directorate.

The team consisting of one officer, one associated NCC Officer, nine NCC cadets between the ages of 19 to 21 years, two former NCC cadets of the college as liaison officers and thee service personnel will travel an average of 300 km a day. The expedition is being undertaken to spread awareness among the people about AIDS, road safety, talent outsourcing and importance of solar energy.
