KOCHI: Self-financing engineering college managements will submit their proposed fee structure for the coming academic year before the admission supervisory committee within one week. Kerala Self-financing Engineering College Managements' Association has directed its members to finalise the fee structure. Association General Secretary C.I. Abdurahman said on Friday that managements would fix their own fee structure based on various factors including the expenditure incurred for running various engineering programmes. He said that the students seeking admission to private engineering colleges should appear for the entrance examination conducted by the State Commissioner of Entrance Examinations. Admission would be based on the list prepared by combining the performance in the entrance test and the marks scored in physics, mathematics and chemistry in 10th and 12th classes. The association would complete the admission process before July 1, as directed by the All India Council for Technical Education. Reservation would be given to SC/ST and OBC candidates as per the existing rules and regulations, he said.
