Thiruvananthapuram: The first year higher secondary examination scheduled to be held on February 26 has been postponed to March 12. The change of schedule was forced by elections to various grama panchayats in the State, a release said here on Friday. — Staff Reporter

Arms Act: suspect remanded

Thiruvananthapuram: Goondukadu Shabu, 38, suspected gang leader, was on Friday produced before the court on the charge of violating the Arms Act and remanded to 14 days in judicial custody. He was arrested along with another person, Rajan, from Putharikandam Maidan. — Staff Reporter

Wanted man held

Thiruvananthapuram: The police have arrested a 30-year-old man and suspected gang leader in connection with as many as 20 assault, attempt to murder and extortion cases. Circle Inspector, Peroorkada, M. Radhakrishnan Nair identified the accused as Shibu, alias `Kochu' Shibu. — Staff Reporter
