President calls on Manekshaw

Udhagamandalam: President Abdul Kalam called on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, undergoing treatment at the Military Hospital in Wellington near here, on Saturday.

After addressing students and faculty of the Defence Services Staff College at Wellington, Mr. Kalam drove to the hospital and spent a few minutes with the Field Marshal.

"Please look after him. He is a great son of India" he told doctors attending on the hero of the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
