SHIMOGA: Deputy Commissioner T.K. Anilkumar inaugurated the pictorial exhibition at the Kuvempu Rangha Mandira here on Saturday.

Organised by the Department of Information to mark the Suvarna Karnataka celebrations, the exhibition focuses on the progress achieved by the State in the irrigation, agriculture, power and political fields in the past 50 years.

Mr. Anilkumar, who appreciated the pictorial collection at the exhibition, expressed the hope that school and college students would make use of the information offered by them.

Assistant Director of Information Department Devarajaiah and Assistant Director of Kannada and Culture Department N. Harikumar were present.
