Hotel, tourism, the happening sectors

The annual overall revenue from India's travel and tourism industry is estimated to increase to around 90 billion US dollars in the next 10 years. As India emerges as a hotspot on the tourist's radar, hospitality and tourism related jobs are expected to grow by more than three million in the same period with one in 18 jobs in the tourism sector, according to a study conducted by the Oxford Economic Forecasting commissioned by the World Travel and Tourism Council.

An important part of the tourism sector, is the hotel industry that has opened up a number of career opportunities. Hotel management involves a combination of skills like food and beverage service, housekeeping, front office operation, sales and marketing and accounting.
