ISLAMABAD: Pakistan wants India to share its investigations into the Samjhauta Express attack when the two countries hold the first meeting of their joint mechanism against terror. The Foreign Ministry said on Monday it was Pakistan's "expectation" that India would share the progress made in the investigations when the anti-terror mechanism meets here on March 6 and 7. "This would be the first meeting of the mechanism, it is very important that we approach it with a constructive mind," said spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam. Pakistan had been assured by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that he was determined to get to the bottom of the attack, and that India would share the results of the investigation with Islamabad. Pakistan ruled out last week questioning by Indian investigators of the survivors of the attack, who are now all back in their country. The spokeswoman said Indian officials had already questioned these people, and that some of them had assisted with the sketches of the two men that the police are now looking for. "If there is something very specific that the Indians have that they would like to know from them, they have to contact us and we would look at that," she said.
