LUSAKA : Zambia arrested 11 Indian nationals for working illegally in the country and ordered them to leave within seven days, Times of Zambia reported Monday. Immigration Department spokesperson Mulako Mbangweta said the 11, employed by Universal Mining Company in Kafue, were arrested and fined 1.08 million kwacha each (about $ 257). She said immigration laws did not allow any person to apply for a work permit while in the country and that an application should be made while outside the country.
