Plan for two more business incubators

HYDERABAD: Major Industries Minister J.Geeta Reddy has said that technology business incubators strengthened collaboration between the industry and the academia. They turn ideas into

viable business ventures, she told the inaugural session of a three-day national conference on `Technology incubators' at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), near here, on Sunday.

She said that business incubation was a journey and not a job. Already there were five business incubators in and around the capital and two more were envisaged in the Shapporji Pallonji Biotech Park and ICICI Knowledge Park.

The ICRISAT in collaboration with ICICI Knowledge Park and University of Hyderabad, is organising event-- the first annual conference of the Indian STEP (Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park) and Business Incubator Association (ISBA).
