BANGALORE: All you students out there, here's a chance to see what went into the making of India's supercomputer. The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, the premier research and development organisation under the Ministry of Information, has decided to celebrate National Science Day on February 28 in a befitting manner. It will showcase its milestone achievements of building Param Padma at the Terascale Supercomputing Facility and its GRID Facility at C-DAC Knowledge Park, Opp. HAL Aeroengine Division, Old Madras Road. C-DAC is inviting students from schools and colleges to witness the presentation. It can be contacted on Ph.: 25244059 or 25341909. The Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology and the State Department of Science and Technology are pitching in for the day with a students-scientists interaction for high school students at the Material Research Centre Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science. It will be preceded by a film on Sir C.V. Raman and technical talks by Ramaprasad of IISc. and S.S. Desai of National Aeronautical Laboratory. The programme starts at 3.30 p.m.
