Meet on Gulf security

ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will hold an international think-tank conference on March 5-7 to discuss security issues in the Gulf region, an official announced here on Tuesday.

A number of experts, including policy-makers, scholars and analysts, from the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, the United States, Germany and Britain will attend the annual conference, a spokeswoman for the organiser, the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), told a press conference.

Established in 1994, the ECSSR is an independent centre dedicated to research and studies on issues of interest to the UAE and the Gulf region. — Xinhua
