Belgaum: The Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board has decided to issue monthly bills for metered tap water connections with effect from April 1 this year. According to a release here on Tuesday, the board has already asked the residents to fix meters to their tap connections. The last date for fixing meters is March 31. The board has advised people to use ISI marked multi-jet `B' Class meters after getting it tested with the board authorities. Those who fail to fix meters shall be penalised and would have to pay a fine amounting to three months' water bill.
