HYDERABAD: Tarbund XI scored a comfortable, 4-1 win against MCH Chintalbasthi in the Royal Club hockey tournament for B. Devarajan Trophy at Gymkhana Grounds here on Tuesday. It was Chintalbasthi which took the lead in the ninth minute through Sunil Singh, who was later named `best player'. However, once Tarbund equalised through winger B.M. Rakesh Kumar in the 24th minute, it never looked back. Later, Rakesh Kumar converted a penalty-corner in the 31st minute. Subrahmanyam netted the third goal and later Rakesh Kumar with another penalty-corner conversion completed the tally for the winner. Another match between AC Guards and Mohammadan Sporting could not be held as both teams failed to turn up.
