HYDERABAD: Several Telugu Desam Party MLAs and leaders on Tuesday staged a dharna opposite the Rail Nilayam protesting against `injustice' to the State and South Central Railway in the Railway Budget. The legislators, including Lalitha Thomas, E. Dayakar Rao, G. Sayanna, V. Narendra Reddy and Atchan Naidu squatted near the entrance. They raised slogans demanding resignation of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and the eight Union Ministers from the State.

They regretted that, despite `heavy' political presence from the State in the corridors of power in Delhi, State and SCR had not got new trains or railway lines. Mr. Dayakar Rao said though five coach factories were announced in the budget, not one had come to Andhra Pradesh. The leaders reiterated the demand for locating a coach factory at Kazipet.
