GULBARGA: Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) staged a demonstration in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office here on Tuesday in protest against the increase in prices of essential commodities. The protesters, led by member of the State secretariat of the party Maruti Manpade, raised slogans against the economic policies of the Government.
Memorandum
They submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding among other things a ban on forward trading of foodgrains and essential commodities, which, they said, was responsible for the sudden rise in the prices.
