No permission for vertical development

HYDERABAD:
If city planners and service providing agencies have their way in the preparation of Master Plan for Core Areas of City, emphasis will be on some bold but absolutely necessary measures for decongesting the high density areas and optimisation of civic infrastructure.
No more permission for vertical development in high density circles, development in restricted areas like Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills to ensure uniform spread of population density, revitalising erstwhile business districts like Abids into hubs were some of their suggestions.
Changing land use in certain empty tracts of industrial areas like Sanathnagar, residential and IT development sectors could be developed, MCH Additional Commissioner Dhanunjaya Reddy said. Traffic re-engineering, particularly near Secunderabad Railway station, emphasis on public transport and traffic impact studies for peripheral areas were other key issues discussed.
