Book on Karunanidhi released

Lyricist Vaali has recorded significant events in his life

CHENNAI: A book on Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, written by lyricist Vaali, was released at a function here on Wednesday.

Mr. Karunanidhi thanked Vaali for his attempt to propagate his principles through his writings.

Saying that he would continue to devote his life to protecting the interests of Tamils and Tamil language, the Chief Minister said the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam was for establishing an egalitarian society and always stood for unity and integrity of the country.

Vaali said his long association with Mr. Karunanidhi encouraged him to write the book.

Former Minister R.M. Veerappan released the book. The first copy was received by S. Jagathrakshegan, founder secretary, Alwars Research Centre.
