The hugely successful slapstick comedy film `CID Moosa' will be presented in an animated series. The Aluva-based Wireframe Animations has woven the characters of the film into a series of stories for home theatre. Binu K. Sasidharan, director of the animation film, said at a press conference here on Thursday that they choose the characters of `CID Moosa,' as it was a film liked by children. It is the first time that a Malayalam film character has been animated, he said. The CD will be released at a formal function in April. There are few regional cartoon characters, said storywriter Murali Krishna. The State is yet to make great strides in developing Malayalam animated films, he said. Children here get to see only cartoon films made abroad, he added.
