CRR exemption categories for banks

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank on Thursday said banks would continue to be exempted from maintaining the average cash reserve ratio (CRR) on liabilities of four categories — liabilities to the banking system in India, credit balances in ACU (USD) accounts, transactions in collateralised borrowing and lending obligation (CBLO) with Clearing Corporation of India (CCIL) and demand and time liabilities in respect of their offshore banking units.
