Central Excise honours Peekey group

KOZHIKODE: The Peekey group here has paid Rs.25 crore towards Central Excise and Service Tax during the financial year 2005-06, said its chairman P.K. Ahammed.

Peekey Rolling Mills Private Ltd. in Nallalam here, member of the Peekey group, was honoured by the Commissionerate of Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax with an award for the highest growth in revenue in non-SSI sector in Kozhikode.

The award was presented by P.R. Chandrasekharan, Commissioner of Central Excise, to Mr. Ahammed at a function held to mark the Central Excise Day.
