Cho's tribute

Cho Ramaswamy, a bitter critic of the DMK and its president M. Karunanidhi, has written the foreword to Vaali's book on Mr. Karunanidhi.

Mr. Vaali said he wanted someone familiar with Mr. Karunanidhi's life to write the foreword, and asked Mr. Cho, a close friend.

Mr. Cho doubted whether the Chief Minster would accept his foreword, Mr. Vaali said. Mr. Karunanidhi, after reading the foreword, congratulated the author for getting one of his bitter critics to write it. In his foreword, Mr. Cho said though he was critic, he was impressed by Mr. Karunanidhi's perseverance, resolve and hard work even at this age.
