New hotel on IT highway

Fortune Select Palms, a Welcomgroup property, may be the first three-star hotel on the Old Mahabalipuram Road. The hotel, located at Thoraipakkam, could become a hot spot for corporate whiz-kids.

The attractions include Oriental Pavilion, which serves culinary delicacies from the Far East, and "The Top" a speciality restaurant serving Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian and Chinese food, with Master Chef Wang Hui. The wi-fi enabled hotel has single and double-bed rooms in the standard and deluxe class, besides suites that have been aesthetically designed and a landscaped poolside view as bonus.

For those looking to relax, the Fortune-500 bar will provide a soothing ambience. "We have accommodated a sizeable range of cocktails and mocktails to cater for the corporate clientele," said General Manager R. Ramani.

Executive Chef T.V. Neelkantan says the hotel is all set to meet catering requests from parties to other special occasions.
