GUNTUR: Losers always search for excuses, while winners search for opportunities and students must inculcate the habit of winning, Acharya Nagarjuna University Vice-Chancellor V. Balamohandas has said. At the Proficiency Prize distribution function organized in Tellakula Jalayya Polisetty Somasundaram College here on Thursday, he said that February 28, being the National Science Day, had significance as it was on this day C.V. Raman invented the `Raman Effect'. Developing scientific temperament and zeal to innovate would pave way for rapid personal and societal economic growth, he opined. He asked students to learn English in a systematic way, mastering 3,000 words in 200 days, which would put them ahead of many students in competition for jobs as many companies were coming to college campuses to recruit people with good communication and soft skills.
