Goodies for Greater Hyderabad

With greater power comes greater responsibility. And with the word `greater', comes a greater budget too. Hyderabad, with the change in nomenclature as Greater Hyderabad round the corner, was showered with development funds during the State budget. A Rs. 4,442 crore-sewerage system, the Rs. 4,000 crore-ORR, the Rs. 8,760 crore- MRTS, a Rs.600 crore-Expressway - the goodies have been too huge.

What if the Railway Budget and the Union Budget failed to bring cheer, the State has done enough to keep the smiles on.
