NEW DELHI:
The Communist Party of India on Thursday alleged that a particular firm had been benefiting by forward trading in foodgrains and demanded an inquiry into the "sabotage" from "within the United Progressive Alliance Government."
"A sabotage is going on within the Government on the question of curbing price rise. We demand an inquiry into how and why a particular firm has benefited through forward trading in foodgrains," CPI parliamentary party leader Gurudas Dasgupta told a press conference here.
He refused to disclose the name of the company but said it had a "high political connection, not necessarily with the ruling party."
