KSRTC makes arrangements

Thiruvananthapuram: The KSRTC has made elaborate arrangements for those coming to offer Pongala at the Attukal Bhagavathy Temple on March 3.

A KSRTC press release said buses would be operated from major places depending on the rush to Attukal on March 2. On March 3, the buses would come via Palayam, General Hospital, Vanchiyoor, Uppidamoodu bridge, Transport Bhavan to East Fort. In the return direction, the buses would proceed from East Fort, Statue and Palayam to various places.

The buses coming from Pappanamcode would proceed via Karamana, Poojappura, Jagathy, Kochar Road, Valiyasala to Killipalam and would return via Karamana. Those buses coming from Thiruvallom side would proceed via Kazhakuttom-Inchivila NH bypass, Arayankuzhi, Kamaleswaram and would return via Ambalathara.

The buses from Pappanamcode unit to various places would commence from Maruthurkadavu. The buses from Pattom and Vellayambalam side would proceed via Vellayambalam, Vazhuthacaud, Mettukada, Thycaud Hospital, Flyover and would go via Thampanoor, Aristo, Panavila, Bakery junction to Kattakada, Nedumangad, Kilimanoor and Attingal.

Unit officers of KSRTC would be posted at main traffic points to control the services of the KSRTC, the release said.
