Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: A 32-year-old woman was electrocuted in a village on Kanakapura Road on the outskirts of the city on Thursday.

The police gave her name as Nagi Bai, a labourer, of Shaludoddi village.

Nagi Bai was drying clothes on a metal wire in front of her house around noon when an electric wire snapped and she was electrocuted, the police said.

Four years ago, Suma, daughter of Nagi Bai, was electrocuted at the same spot, according to Rama Naik, husband of Nagi Bai.

The Thalaghatapura police in Bangalore Rural district have registered a case.
