Special Correspondent
Thiruvananthapuram: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president P.K. Krishnadas has described the Governor's Address as a ``cheap political ploy'' on the part of the Government to escape by laying the blame for everything on the Centre. In a statement here on Friday, he said even though the Governor's Address was supposed to be the policy enunciation of the Government, it contained no policy whatsoever. The Government, which had lost the willpower to implement the declarations made last year, made the Governor deliver a political speech. It claimed that the obstacles to sustainable urban development were removed without uttering the name of Asian Development Bank (ADB). Another claim was about the move to complete the second phase of the KSTP road construction in a time bound manner. The speech was at the same time silent on the pathetic condition of the first phase. It also waxed eloquent on the development of the information technology sector without making any reference to the smart city.
