KARIMNAGAR: Students of Paramita High school in Mankammathota, Karimnagar town, enthralled the audience with scintillating cultural programmes on the occasion of their annual day celebrations called, `Darpan', on Friday evening. Amid scintillating lighting effects and high-voltage sound system, the students enacted various plays and dance forms. They had enacted small play lets on mythological epics. However, the highlight of the evening was `Rukmini Kalyanam', where the children enacted the life of Lord Krishna from his childhood days to marriage. Besides, there were various dance forms of the country such as - bangra, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Dandiya and Telugu folk songs. The traditional bonalu and bathukamma festivals also captivated the audience and received standing applause from the audience. Some primary section children had also enacted English plays on fairy tales. A play titled `gola-gola' was very educative. Instead of parents restricting themselves to TV serials, the play suggests them to spend some time with children and share joyful moments. Retired Deputy DEO V.L.N. Sastry, Paramita schools chairman E. Prasada Rao, principal Sharada Shankar, vice-principal Sreesan and others were present.
