TULF president meets Karunanidhi

CHENNAI: The president of the Tamil United Liberation Front V. Anandasangaree met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi here on Friday and urged him to help find a solution to the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Anandasangaree, in a statement, said that Mr. Karunanidhi was one of the leaders in India who could persuade the Indian Government to intervene and help resolve the ethnic problem.

``He assured me he would do his best to persuade the Indian Government accordingly," Mr. Anandasangaree said.
