ANANTAPUR: The Andhra Pradesh BSNL Contract and Casual Labour Union on Saturday launched an agitation protesting against alleged harassment and victimisation by officials. All the 46 contract workers working in coaxial maintenance department in the district participated in the protest. Union leaders Chandramohan and Sairam demanded minimum wages and rights as per laws. They said that the officials had recently dismissed a computer operator, who had been working for six years in Vemana telephone bhavan here. They were threatening to sack the remaining workers too.
