ANANTAPUR: Dalits of Illuru village of Garladinne mandal, the native place of former President Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, were allegedly attacked by a group belonging to a BC community on Friday night. Four dalits and one from the other community were injured in the incident. According to the police, a dalit marriage procession was passing though an area on Friday night, when a woman from this community objected to the noise. The marriage party replied that they were just following rituals and proceeded towards the dalit colony. Angered by this members of the other group allegedly went to dalit colony and attacked the marriage procession.
