Staff Reporter
GUNTUR: A former employee of the Industries Department serving a special project of Andhra Pradesh Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation Limited (APITCO), Annabattuni Sadasiva Rao, is going ahead with an ideal campaign to step in the Legislative Council through graduates' constituency. Resigning to his job in APITCO, a State Government agency offering consultancy services, Mr. Sadasiva Rao took the opinion of as many graduates in Guntur and Krishna districts as possible during the past five months if he was a candidate fit to contest MLC elections. He printed his bio-data with objectives and wrote to some of his friends and acquaintances before taking a decision on whether to take a plunge into the political arena. "The response from people and his friends was overwhelming," claims Mr. Rao, popularly known as Sada in Duggirala where he worked in the turmeric market.
No freebies
Hailing from Tenali, he does not spend money on offering freebies to voters nor does he expect support from major political parties and does not believe in taking support on the basis of caste and creed.
