Raffik stars in G.T.N. Arts College's win

Dindugul: G.T.N. Arts College, helped by M. Mohamed Raffik's unbeaten 145 (16 x 4, 3 x 6), beat RVS College of Engineering by 55 runs in the final and lift the RVS Trophy of the Dindugul Colleges Cricket league, organised by RVS college and DDCA at Dindugul, on Saturday.

The scores: G.T.N. Arts College 224 in 30 overs (M. Mohamed Raffik 145 not out) bt RVSCE 169 in 27 overs (V. Jawahar Natarajan 54)

Dhanasekar dazzles

A dazzling century by Dhanasekar (107, 17 x 4) helped Pudukottai Recreation Club, Tiruchi, chalk out a handsome 167-run victory over B. Tech., CECRI in the 24th annual State-level cricket tournament, organised by CECRI Club, at Karaikudi on Friday.

The scores: Pudukottai RC, Tiruchi 229 for seven in 25 overs (Dhanasekar 107) bt B. Tech., CECRI 62 in 14.3 overs (Deepan four for 15).

CECRI Club 69 for six in 20 overs (Raghavan four for 10) lost to Sivagangai DCA XI 70 for two (Senthil 40 not out).

Moonlight CC 92 in 25 overs (Devendran four for 21) lost to Rainbow CC, Ramanathapuram 94 for two in 13.3 overs (Johnson 41).

AUCPE 163 for nine in 20 overs bt Devakottai CC, 132 in 17.2 overs (Balamuragan 54, Ramesh four for 32).

ACCET 116 for eight in 23 overs bt Vanchi CC, 81 in 16.1 overs.

Kapil Devils CC, Madurai 126 for nine in 25 overs (Silambarasn 49) lost Aruna Sports CC 128 for five in 20.5 overs (Babu four for 22).

Trichy One CC 181 for four in 20 overs (Gopinath 50 not out, Muraleeswaran 51) bt Gangai Brothers CC, Sivagangai 75 in 18.1 overs (four for 15).

SIT triumphs

Sethu Institute of Technology, Kariapatti lifted the Vickram Trophy defeating Arulmigu Kalasilingam College of Engineering, Krishnankoil 2-0 in the final of the State- level inter-engineering College Football tournament at Vikram College ground, Enathi on Saturday. Suresh and Kumar were the scorers.
