Meet to discuss credit potential under farm, non-farm sub-sectors Officials told to base paper on credit plans prepared by NABARD
HYDERABAD:
The State Government will lay emphasis on development of rural infrastructure in its `Focus Paper' to be presented at the State Credit seminar convened by NABARD here on March 5.
The seminar will discuss credit potential under sub-sectors of farm and non-farm for 2007-08. Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy directed officials on Saturday to base the paper on the Potential Linked Credit Plans prepared by NABARD officials. A press release said Dr. Reddy was interacting with officials at New Delhi on the assistance that the State was entitled to under the RIDF.
Recalling his `Prajapatham', a mass contact programme launched in 2005, the Chief Minister directed the officials to address the concerns of the poor regarding infrastructure problems. He pointed out to them that Andhra Pradesh was the biggest beneficiary under the RIDF assistance from NABARD.
