Southern tea contest in Kochi

KOCHI: The United Planters' Association of Southern India, in collaboration with the Tea Board of India, will organise the Southern Tea Competition for the Golden Leaf India awards at Bolghatty Palace on March 22.

This will be the third edition of the competition. The second edition was held in Dubai last year.

The objective of contest is to showcase different varieties of South India tea. The event has generated producer peer group competition which is essential to sustain the quality, according to the organisers.
