Temple authority urged to convene meeting of Mukti Mandap

KORAPUT: Controversy over the entry of a foreign national into Jagannath temple at Srikhetra at Puri has its echo in Sabara Srikhetra at Koraput. Under the banner of Koraput Cultural Forum, people expressed their views on the issue on Saturday. The forum has sent a letter to the temple authority at Puri requesting it to convene an emergency meeting of Mukti Mandap, the decision making body in such situations to discuss on the vital issue. Krushna Chandra Panigrahy, Director of Tribal Museum, highlighted the need for a consensus view in this regard.
