Buenos Aires: The Argentinian Government named a new lawyer on Saturday to plead the Central Bureau of Investigation's case for extradition of Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, an accused in the Bofors payoffs case. Lilian Delgado was appointed counsel for pleading India's case in place of Carlos Daneri because of jurisdictional issues. Ms. Delgado hails from Misiones province, where the extradition proceedings might take place, Indian Ambassador to Argentina Pramathesh Rath said. News reports earlier said Mr. Daneri, who spoke only Spanish, was not comfortable with English, and was not fully conversant with Mr. Quattrocchi's case details. PTI
