`Changathipuccha' The need to accommodate more actors in a comedy often results in compromises at the expense of humour. `Changathipuccha' is about two brothers Sridharan Nair (Nedumudi Venu) and Kandampalli Ramchandran Nair (Jagathy Sreekumar) who are at odds with each other. However, their college-going daughters are great friends. Jagathy calls Sivankutty (Jayasurya) to the village to make Priya (Ramya Nambishan), daughter of his brother, fall in love with him and later leave her, thus spoiling the family's reputation. Confusion prevails and Jayasurya ends up falling for Sridevi (Radhika of `Classmates' fame), Jagathy's daughter. Jayasurya does not come to the village alone; rather he brings three of his friends - Salim Kumar, Cochin Hanifa and Sudhir (of `Oppol' fame). At this juncture, the narrative deviates from the main track to accommodate the threesome in the film. Jagathy and Nedumuni Venu do a decent job. Jayasurya as the confused lover delivers a commendable performance. Radhika and Ramya Nambishan provide able support. Salim Kumar, Cochin Hanifa and Macchan Verghese create laughs but nothing memorable. The story is by Shany Khader and S.A. Mahesh is the director. The songs are penned by Girish Puthancherry and composed by Ousepacchan.
