Improve core competence, students told

GUNTUR : Improve your core competence to be in the forefront in any job market, Guntur Joint Collector Rahul Bojja told business management students at State-level meet `Esoteric - 2007' on Sunday. Inaugurating the management students' meet at Tellakula Jalayya Polisetty Somasundaram (TJPS) he said, "all this glib talk of mastering communication skills, honing soft skills to go up the ladder or finding a place in any organization, does not last long unless you have solid specialisation in any one aspect."

About 250 students from 25 colleges participated in four events like Young Manager, Ad Campaign and paper presentation to vie for some cash prizes.

There was intense competition among participants and eliminations rounds had to be conducted to bring the talented to the final round.
