VISAKHAPATNAM: The official machinery swung into action to find out how a child got infected with a wild virus of polio. A day after the news was reported in the media, a flurry of activity was witnessed at Pedajalaripeta. District Medical and Health Officer P. Jagannadham and District Immunisation Officer J. Sarojini visited the area and interacted with the family of the two-year-old patient Pottu Krishna alias Aravind. The family has been residing in Pedajalaripeta for one and a half decade. Krishna has a brother and a sister who used to frequent their grandparent's place in a slum near the fishing harbour.
