NELLORE: A 27-year-old man Ch. Srinivasulu committed suicide after allegedly killing his wife Devamma at Kavali in an inebriated state in the wee hours of Sunday. According to the police, the couple got married eight years ago and had been residing at Musunuru ST Colony. But marital disputes used to crop up often over Devamma's frequent visits to her mother's house in Prakasam district. After an argument Srinivasulu, in a fit if rage stabbed his wife with a knife in the presence of his mother-in-law and fled. According to the police, he committed suicide by jumping in front of train. Investigations were on.
Brothers murdered?
In another incident, two brothers D. Tirupati (20) and D. Sudhakara Reddy (18) were allegedly murdered in their fields at Timmanaidupeta of A.S. Peta mandal. "The police suspect that one G. Subba Reddy might have killed the brothers as he had an altercation with them over an issue pertaining to power supply," A.S. Peta SI G. Ananda Rao said. The accused person is at large.
