Minister sanctions Rs. 10 crores for town development

NIZAMABAD: Dharmapuri Sanjay, Mayor, Municipal Corporation of Nizamabad, has said Union Minister of State for Urban Housing and Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja recently sanctioned Rs.10.45 crores for undertaking housing, drainage and sewerage development and construction of roads in the town.

She sanctioned the amount immediately and promised to give another Rs. 30 crores for the town. This amount would be used for overhead water tanks, new roads, culverts, drains, streetlights and level uneven places.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the Mayor said Union Minister for Urban Development S. Jaipal Reddy assured that he would take all steps to include the town in the list for sanction of funds for Underground Drainage Scheme in April.
