Girls' hostel at Perambalur

PERAMBALUR : The Adi Dravidar Welfare Department will construct a girls' hostel to benefit college students in Perambalur town, the State Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister, A. Tamizharasi, said on Sunday.

Speaking after inaugurating five hostels constructed at a total outlay of Rs. 1.57 crore at Ariyalur, Keezhapuliyur, Nathakadu and Ammapalayam, she said the Government had sanctioned seven more hostels at an estimate of Rs. 2.20 crore.

The new hostels would be built at Perambalur, Andimadam, Ariyalur, Malayalapatti, S. Aduthurai and Veppur. While the hostel at Perambalur would accommodate the girl students from colleges, the one at Ariyalur would benefit the ITI students.
