HYDERABAD: For the second consecutive day, the city was draped in colours and the spirit of Holi revelry on Sunday. Communities, which postponed their celebrations due to the total lunar eclipse, which incidentally came after three years, poured onto the streets with vengeance to celebrate the festival. Unmindful of their impending Intermediate exam, youngsters decided to take time `off' from their hectic last minute revisions to be part of the fun. Smeared in myriad colours, they playfully daubed one another with gulal in colonies, streets and on main roads. The traditional Holi bonfire, which was postponed in several parts of the city on Saturday, was lit and bhaang flowed freely among revellers of all ages. "The two days gave us a good break from the monotony of preparing for the exam. We are recharged for the rigours and tensions of the exam," Manish Agarwal preparing for his Inter exam said. As the dry day was extended till Sunday, grown-ups and families hit upon the homemade bhaang. "Some of our family members got together to prepare the bhaang. It adds to the overall Holi celebrations," HR executive Premchandra Sahoo gushed.
