KOCHI: A four-day training programme for doctors on torture medicine concluded here on Saturday. The programme was jointly organised by the Indian Medical Association Kerala branch, the Kerala Government Medical Officers Association (KGMOA), the Qualified Private Medical Practioners Association and Torture Prevention Centre India Trust. Thirty-six senior doctors attended the training programme. Bidur Osthi, medical consultant of the Forum for Protection of People's Right, Nepal, was the trainer. T.K. Kuttamani, director of the State Health Department, presided over the valedictory session. V.D. Satheesan, MLA, was the chief guest. S.D. Singh, secretary of the centre, among others, attended the programme.
