`Mission 365' to help educate children

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Nine-year-old Dominic sits quietly in a corner and answers your questions politely.

One would not think that this is the child whose mother set herself ablaze in front of her two children.

Children such as Dominic and his sister, Monica, and several others will benefit from the movement "Mission 365" launched by the Lovedale Foundation. It will help in educating underprivileged children.

"Mission 365" is a unique initiative focussed on supporting a child by contributing one rupee a day, that is, Rs. 365 a year.

The programme was launched here on Sunday by Ivan Nigli, MLA, and Dastagir Shariff, Chief Traffic Manager, Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation, who contributed Rs. 365 each.
