Revelry claims two lives

BANGALORE: Holi revelry claimed the lives of a college student and a business executive on Sunday.

Neha Kaur (18), a student of PES College, was celebrating Holi with her friends on the terrace of an apartment complex in Hulimavu police station limits when she fell and suffered injuries.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) Soumendu Mukherjee said she was taken to Wockhardt Hospital, where she died.

Ramakrishnan (31), a finance manager with Britannia, was drowned in the swimming pool on the factory premises when he was celebrating the festival with his colleagues. The police said he slipped and fell into the deep end of the pool. His colleagues rushed him to hospital where he died.

Hooliganism

There were reports of Holi hooliganism with people in an inebriated state forcefully putting colours on motorists. However, the police received no complaints.
