CHENNAI: Central Industry Security Force personnel deployed at the ATC complex first gate secured a 40-year-old man who sneaked in on Sunday night. The Airport police said P. Murugesan of Pullambadi in Tiruchi district came to the first gate around 9 p.m. and crossed it. The CISF personnel stopped him and handed him over to the Airport police.
Mentally `unstable'
The police said he was not carrying any weapon and was mentally `unstable.' A case under Section 448 (trespass) had been registered against him. He was remanded to custody. Last Friday, a person without a valid ticket or entry pass sneaked into the security lounge at the departure terminal of the Anna International Airport.
One person arrested
A 32-year-old man who landed at the Anna International Airport on Monday morning was arrested on the charge of using a fake passport. The police said M. Nasar of Thondarnadu in Wayanad district arrived by a Kuwait Airlines flight around 6.30 a.m. When Immigration authorities checked his passport, it was found fake. A case has been registered.
